Job description:
We are seeking a skilled Floor Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all flooring installations are completed to the highest standards.
This role involves working with various materials and requires proficiency in using hand and power tools.
The Floor Layer will be responsible for interpreting schematics and executing projects efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment.
*Responsibilities*
Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas accurately.
Install various types of flooring, including carpet, vinyl, cap and cove, LVT.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or applying adhesives as necessary.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations.
Read and interpret schematics to ensure precise installation according to design specifications.
Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure durability and aesthetics.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
*Qualifications*
Proven experience in construction or a related field is essential.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools required for flooring installation.
Basic carpentry skills are an advantage.
Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings.
Experience in construction painting is beneficial but not mandatory.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
